The Rebuy Stars helped senior citizens from Julia Centre

December evokes in all of us memories of the joyous Christmas holiday, inspiring solidarity, a desire to help and empathy especially for children. Children should certainly not be left out, whether confined to a hospital bed or in children's homes. However, the world does not revolve around the smallest, and those who have already made the journey through life should not be forgotten. Yes, they are grandmothers, grandfathers - seniors.

That's why the Rebuy Stars said in December that they would step out of line and support the Julie o.p.s. Intergenerational Center, which takes care of the elderly. Not everyone is lucky to have enough time and space for their family to help back into the active life of their grandmother or grandfather, e.g. after a stroke. That's why "Julia" is there to help with the speech barrier, rehabilitation and other support processes that will make it easier to absorb the problem and become independent again.

On the other hand, Julia also facilitates the meeting and integration of the elderly with children in nursery schools. Children become aware of the cycle of life, learn to be empathetic, and, in turn, enrich their immediacy and liveliness with seniors who simulate their often absent grandparents.

The funding from Rebuy Stars will contribute to the acquisition of a special massage bed and we believe that next year it will help many patients. With the end of the year, we would like to wish everyone a very good health and we believe that not only the Rebuy Stars are thinking of both children and the elderly or disabled people in our neighbourhood!
