Taking your family on holiday in the Czech mountains, in Czech basins and on Czech rivers in the summer is a beautiful idea. Not everyone is lucky enough to enjoy the full beauty of the Czech countryside. There are among us children afflicted with Rett syndrome who are often forgotten. The Rebuy Stars remembered this summer, making a few girls happy as they vacationed in Blansko.
Every year, Rett Community, a group of parents and friends of girls with Rett syndrome, organizes a so-called relief retreat, at which participants can, in the company of other "vacationers," share their impressions, learn the news, do a bit of education, exercise, ski on grass, shoot crossbows, paint stones, play, and, most importantly, laugh and rejoice at their moments together. There's nothing nicer than being yanked out of the daily grind with your loved ones.
The Rebuy Stars have made a donation to this relief retreat in Blansko this year, and we are pleased that at the end of the holidays we can look back a few weeks and be happy when we look at the pictures full of happiness and love.
Rett syndrome:
Rett syndrome is a congenital neurological disease. Its cause is a spontaneously mutated gene that binds to the X chromosome. It mainly affects girls because boys also have a Y chromosome, whereas girls have two X chromosomes.
This affliction can vary in extent (muscle weakness, hyperventilation, seizures, slowed head growth - so-called microcephaly, scoliosis, impaired concentration and eye contact, etc.), which of course affects the course of the whole family and often requires care and maximum care for the full 24h, 7 days a week and 365 days a year.
The holiday is over, but Rett Community and its ladies are still here! Check the Rett Community website.
